Energy Seal is a high-performance sealant specifically developed for log homes and solid timber construction.

Its flexible, elastomeric formula moves with the natural expansion and contraction of wood while providing long-lasting protection against air leaks, water infiltration and energy loss.

This water-based sealant offers excellent adhesion to wood and remains flexible for many years without cracking or losing adhesion. Available in a wide range of colours, Energy Seal blends naturally with the appearance of your log home.

It is ideal for sealing horizontal and vertical log joints, around windows and doors, as well as checks, cracks and other weather-exposed areas.

 

  • Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, oil or loose coatings.
  • Install a foam backer rod where required to achieve the recommended joint geometry.
  • Apply Energy Seal using a manual or cordless bulk gun.
  • Tool the sealant immediately after application to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish.
  • Allow the sealant to cure before prolonged exposure to heavy rain.
  • Clean tools with water before the sealant dries.
